WWDC 2018 & macOS 10.14 Mojave
June means the beginning of summer. The end of school. The start of camp — yay! But for the Mac faithful it’s WWDC — Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple has announced it’s software plans for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

I do want to alert you to the system requirements of the new iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 Mojave. The good news is that if your iPhone is already running the latest iOS 11, you can run iOS 12. But for Macs, Mojave will be bringing new and powerful features and older Macs may be unable to take advantage of 10.14.
Here’s a list of compatible computers (you can go to About This Mac, under the Apple Menu to see what Mac you have):
MacBook (Early 2015 or later)
MacBook Air (Mid-2012 or later)
MacBook Pro (Mid-2012 or later)
Mac mini (Late 2012 or later)
iMac (Late 2012 or later)
iMac Pro (all models)
Mac Pro (Late 2013)
Mac Pro (2010 or later with Metal-compatible GPU)
So if you have a Mac that’s not on this list, start saving your nickels, because it’s time to upgrade to a new Mac! You’ve got time; Apple usually releases the new systems in October. Do start thinking about your migration. What new Mac should you buy? Is your backup in place and working so we can transfer your files seamlessly? Are your old files corrupted with malware? (We don’t want to transfer problems from an old Mac to a brand new one!) Do you have old printers and external drives that won’t work with a new Mac?
